Mojang Studios on Yesterday will inform Minecraft users that the company will stop supporting Minecraft for Solaris next year. The decision to stop supporting their Minecraft game development will not come as a surprise to most users.
"On January 9th, 2018, Mojang will be stop supporting Minecraft for the Solaris," said Markus Persson, game manager for Minecraft, told CNET. "Both Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition 1.12 were released earlier this year for Windows, Mac and Linux and will continue to be available on those platforms."
Minecraft isn't the first application that Mojang has stopped support ongoing development for this year. Just before the start of IGN Expo as of the early 2019, the company announced that all of these supported games for Windows Server would no longer be released.
