How to combine files after first extraction

asked by about RME Multichannel WAV File Batch Processor

Using files from a Behringer X32 mixer. 32 tracks in each WAV file, 5-8 wave files per performance set. Help indicates the application will extract the multi channel files (it does) and then combine those into contiguous track files. It either does not, or somehow I've missed the instructions on how it will work. I'm having to combine all the extracted files in my DAW (it's old Cubase and won't deal with the 32 tracks in one file). Thanks

The RME Multichannel WAV File Batch Processor does not have a built-in feature to combine files after extraction. You will need to manually combine the extracted files in your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) as mentioned in your question.

Thanks, I couldn't find any method for it, but the help section says this:

The RME Multichannel WAV File Batch Processor offers the easiest way to combine and split those multichannel interleaved files into single or dual channel files. The content of consecutive files is automatically combined into a single file. In the rare case that these again exceed the 2 GByte limit the tool automatically writes RF64 files. The Mac version can also write CAF (Core Audio Format) files.

Hence my confusion.
