With the exception of Chevy (also known as Chevrolet) and Ford, most of the names you mention were mainly automobile industry, with XIaomi and Lotte (which is also as a parent company of Lotte Holdings in Japan) as the chief rivals at the top of the pecking order.
Xiaomi and Lotte then now became the largest major multinational companies in the world and sold zillions of them to go with all the major companies they had also sold. Along with the major companies, Xiaomi and Lotte also got a jump start on the business.
