On October 31, 2017, Rhino Technology completed their acquisition by Sony, which effectively made Rhino a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Corporation in Japan until the Rhino brand officially discontinued in the beginning of November.
Leadership, background, and stock changes happened immediately, with customer-side changes happening over time.
The Rhino brand officially discontinued on November 23, 2017. Totoki was already showing the Sony brand, and on this date all retail, customer service, and all other company branding moved to Sony.
