The Minecraft Online, a discontinued Adobe Shockwave-based browser video game developed by Mojang Studios and published by Miniclip. It was based on the sandbox video game for Minecraft. Introduced in 2012, unlike the computer versions, it was primarily aimed at the online versions rather than the computer versions.
Since Adobe ended support for Shockwave Player as of April 9, 2019, the Minecraft Online game went discontinue in 2018. CEO Markus Persson said that the Minecraft game development: "After an incredible 7 years of Minecraft, as part of our shift to focus on the development of Minecraft's casual game, it is now time to sunset the Minecraft game on this platform."
