How do I convert my Android apps to Windows 8 HTC 8S phone from my SD card?

I recently got an HTC 8S Window 8 phone and I inserted my SD card which holds all my apps from my Sony Erricson Android phone. Why won't they work and how can I get them to work?

The applications will never work because you are trying to move applications designed for one operating system to a different one. Android is entirely different from Windows 8. In this situation you will need to manually browse the Store from Windows 8 phone and download the applications again (if they're available for this OS). The SD card holds the data for the applications and some of the system files that are meant to work only on Android.
