How do I join two gene trees (COI and 16s) to make a single consensus tree?

I ran a Bayesian analysis on my data and now I want to combine the two trees. What files do I import into DAMBE; how do I combine them; what should I export the consensus as if I want to view it in FigTree?

To join the COI and 16s gene trees in DAMBE, you need to import the Newick files of both trees. In DAMBE, go to Tools > Merge > Merge Trees. Then, select the COI and 16s trees and click "Merge." Once the consensus tree is generated, you can export it as a Newick file or another format compatible with FigTree for viewing and analysis.
