I change the check color in the options. I close the app. When I open the app again, the default color returns. How do I fix this?

How does one look for updates or contact the "programs support team"? I'm not finding that information anywhere. I had a difficult enough time finding the program itself. I've been using the "non-merchant" version for over a decade now. This version is the previous version's equal and I look forward to using it but I can't stand the default check color.
