It looks like the problem is with your CD/DVD reading device. Make sure all your cables are properly attached to the device (IDE, SATA, Power). While in your desktop environment, please go to Device Manager and check for yellow marks regarding DVD drives. If everything is OK, then I believe you will need to replace your device with a new one.
