Can the Postscript Viewer handle TrueType fonts (.TTF) in the input file, or only PostScript Type 1 or Type 2 fonts (.PFA or .PFB)?

asked by about Postscript Viewer

Ghostscript claims to be able to display .PS files that include TrueType fonts, without substituting a similar .PFA or .PFB font file; but I have spent half a day trying to get this to work, with no success. I am wondering if the Postscript Viewer, which sounds like it is essentially using the Adobe PDF viewer to display the input file of the Windows screen, might succeed where the Ghostscript software trips up.
