How limited is the trial version and how long can I use it?

I can see I can download the software but nothing is said about the price, whether the functionality is limited for the trial version, whether it is limited in time but full functionality.
Do you give a special offer for research? I am a researcher and want to explore some hypotheses about cognitive abilities of ship navigators.
