Why Canon is discontinuing Solution Disk CD-ROM for Windows / Mac to have been included for this box?

Why Canon is discontinuing Solution Disk CD-ROM for Windows / Mac to have been included for this box (e.g. Digital Camera, EOS Digital, Digital Video, or Compact Photo Printer) available? You know that all Canon software to have been updated a newer version for Windows, give me for ideas?

Canon may have discontinued including the Solution Disk CD-ROM in their products as they have updated their software to newer versions that can be easily downloaded online. The user can visit the Canon website to download the latest version of Canon Utilities PhotoStitch software for Windows.
