The happens with Windows 7 and when you try to update the software to its latest version. Until now this issue has been fixed with the latest version installed manually excluding update. All you need to do is to completely uninstall the version you have in your computer and then install a version that you knew it worked good. Please don't try to update automatically using the built-in updater.
