I get an error message when trying to open AVG software.

When I want to open AVG I get the following message: "This program has compatibility issues". How do I open AVG?

AVG has been updated on the 9th of December 2012 to support Windows 8 (32 & 64bit). In this case you should perform an update to the software by downloading a new version of the product of choice. Please uninstall the old version and then install the new package. Also, make sure that your operating system is up-to-date.
