how to assign the type of the soil to the foundation system, whether the footing was a mat or any other type, as I did not find it in ETABS v20
To assign the type of soil to the foundation system in ETABS v20, you need to use the Foundation Wizard. This can be found in the Design menu and will allow you to select the type of footing and the type of soil.
