How to download if my PC has no CD drive for original software?

Same question asked several times on your website, but there is no answer to any of them. I have the CD-ROM that came with the camera, but my computer has no CD reader (what computer does anymore?). When I try to install the downloaded file, it asks for the CD.

One solution would be to borrow a CD/DVD drive from someone else temporarily to install the software from the CD. Another option would be to check the Canon website to see if they provide a digital download of the software that does not require the CD.
