When I start Pinguin Audio Meter (PG AMM): wxWidgets Debug Alert .... why?

What can I do?

../../src/common/ctrlsub.cpp(193): assert "IsValid(n)" failed in GetClientObject(): Invalid index passed to GetClientObject() Do you want to stop the program? You can also choose {Cancel} to suppress further warnings.

Whatever I choose: the program stops and disappears from Task List.
