I have the HIP2P app on my computer and get "Error password". The cameras connect to my phone with no issues.

Just in case someone still has the issue. I think you should try out a different version. In my case, I'm using a mac, and initially, I installed version 0.0.18. Then I installed version 2.1.5 using the apple store. It now works like a charm.

It is necessary to install a newer version of CamHi in case of password problem. For example, 6.5.x.x
It helped me.

There is a problem with passwords. There is a password to open the PC app and there are separate passwords for each camera. If you can't operate the P2P Client then you need to use the password for that and my version forced me to change the password before it would let me run it. So this confused me as I had already put in the password for the camera and didn't want to change it. But, once I realized that it was for the PC app and not the camera then I made the change. I log in with a different password than I use for my camera (I only have one).
David above saved me with his answer:

I too had the same issue I went to the 5th icon along which looks like a settings icon "Config"
On the left hand side under region it showed my cameras
I tick all three and deleted them.
I then went to input UID and added each camera in turn using the camera password
the went back preview and the cameras all came on
hope this helps
David

I have version v6.5.5.5 and it shows the region on the right no the left as he says but anyway I deleted the camera under region and then installed it with the UID and the password for it. One hint might be that I had to add the camera's name also where before I ignored this. It might be that the name and the password have to be right. As soon as I clicked on OK for the "Input UID" popup then I hit the preview button (camera icon) and it showed that the camera was offline. I right-clicked the camera on the left and selected "Connected Device" then it showed online and I was able to drag it on to the screen.
I now have this P2P Client on 2 computers and they both work at the same time.

Hi,

Is very easy.
On the Hip2p app on the mobile (if you have error password message) and config icon doesnt open because it say must be connected, just go up to edit( on top right corner) and cam will be stoped and it allow you to go to config icon and put again and try passwords.

Been battling with this for years. Thought I had it solved since each time I added a new camera and got that problem I would click the + button to expand the camera, which would force a connect and the password would eventually go through (aswell as ensuring I rebooted the camera after a password change). Today nothing worked...then I tried updating it to version 6.5.2.4 (just installed on top without uninstalling the old) - opened it up - bang - its working. Its dodgy software.
