Easyweather not communicating with the base station on a new Windows 10 computer. Any thoughts?

I have a fully functioning weather station (Digitech XC0348) which works with existing Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers. My 1-week old new Windows 10 always says "USB unconnected" despite the USB port being functional and even though the device is recognized correctly by Windows. On a Safe-mode boot up the software works properly. I have tried the old and the latest v7.8 Easyweather software to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on which "windows" process could be interfering with the communication?

It is possible that some background processes or conflicting software on your new Windows 10 computer are interfering with the communication between EasyWeather and the base station. You can try disabling any unnecessary background processes or antivirus/firewall software temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. Additionally, you may want to check for any driver updates for your weather station and ensure that you are using the correct USB port.
