Have moved from Windows 7 to 10 and program v8.00.1613. Why does it not open?

the program works in W7 but there a number of errors but error No2147221164 may hold a clue - I still have activation code.
I have installed V7 and V6 both which open but seem to have a Btrieve problem which I have not been able to overcome as I cannot add accounts - I need CIS so V7 not suitable-any ideas as I am now semi retired and the program is still suitable for the two clients thst I use it for
