Why am I getting Communication error while transferring midi?

Getting "Communication error - After confirming the connection, try the operation again" message when trying to transfer midi file from Yamaha P-115 to PC. The connection check is OK and file is visible in musicsoft but unable to transfer it. It used to work fine but now getting this error all of a sudden
