I have to play MPEG Video version 1 or 2 with MP3 audio file (e.g. version 1 or 2) on MPC-HC for Windows. The filename extension does not exist on an audio or video filename directory. Instead, a .flv is a Flash Video file that does not have a MPEG Video and a .mkv file can be also encoded into the MPEG Video with a MP3 audio file. Similar programs like to do?

MPEG Video Version 2 with MP3 audio file is a container format. This means that the format uses Blu-ray Disc Audio-Video for multiplexing audio, video and other streams. It can be encoded using the software such as mkvmerge.
