Any limit on number of files Using SO on Sony ICD UX-533 with 30GB memory?

There seems to be a number limit of 199 individual sound files permissible on Sony ICD UX-533 with 30 GB memory installed and plenty of storage space remaining. Presently all files are in Folder 1 ... could problem be avoided by moving to a different folder?? Device reports memory full if attempt to record beyond 199 ... can delete one file and one more only can be made.
