How to fix "Invalid" file?

asked by about Sound Organizer

I have Windows 10, Office 2019, a Sony Digital recorder PX333, Sound Organizer 1.6, and Dragon Naturally Speaking 15 Professional.

I need to transcribe 53 small files into a Word file via Dragon.

I do all the S.O. things and the files show up in the Organizer, but when I click the Dragon button I get a popup message that the following place is "invalid"--

C:\Program data\Sony Corporation\Sound Organizer\auto transcription\temp\000.wav

What should I do to fix this?

The issue seems to be with the file path of the audio file that Dragon Naturally Speaking is trying to access. The file path "C:%2FProgram data%2FSony Corporation%2FSound Organizer%2Fauto transcription%2Ftemp%2F000.wav" appears to contain invalid characters and may not be recognized by the application.

To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:
1. Verify that the file path mentioned is correct and complete. It should be something like "C:\Program data\Sony Corporation\Sound Organizer\auto transcription\temp\000.wav" (note the usage of backslashes instead of "%2F").
2. Ensure that the mentioned file "000.wav" exists in the specified folder. If not, try locating the correct file or recording it again.
3. If the file path and file are correct, try manually launching Dragon Naturally Speaking and then opening the file from within the application, rather than using the Sound Organizer's Dragon button.

If the issue persists, you may need to seek further assistance from the support resources of Dragon Naturally Speaking or Sound Organizer.
