First you will need to plug the card into a PCI Express X1 or X16 slot then use the provided Support CD and install its drivers and application using the autorun menu that pops out when you insert it in the CD/DVD-Rom and that's it. When the process is finished, the computer might restart itself in order to complete the installation process.

Thank you for your reply:

I did all that, receiving this message:

"! The software you are installing for this hardware Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1250 [Model 79x Hybrid ATSC/QAM] Has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify it’s compatibility With Windows XP

Continuing your installation of this software may impair Or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed the Windows Logo testing."

After selecting 'Continue Anyway' My computer froze and required manual restart.

When trying to install drivers from your disk using 'setup' I get the same message. I also get "Installation Complete". When selecting your card from the 'add hardware wizard' in control panel, I get "This device is working properly" I don’t know how to select TV channels or to bring up the device on my display. Also, I have to restart the computer to remove the Hauppauge message display which is always on top

The mother board is an ASUS P6T WS Professional. The CPU is Intel I7 Quad core. The operating system is Windows XP SP 3 Ver 2002. I do not want to upgrade to Windows 7 because I have it on my lap top and don,t like it..

Please help.
