Been pondering this myself. I wasn't able to find the source code, so I can only guess at how the code works. The only way for me would be to start a greenfield in python or UE4/5 (f..k unity), but dev work isn't something I would do alone, both because of my limited skills and because I'd make a few addition (it's old!).
