The only possible explanation I think there is, that the .exe file you are trying to install is corrupt or the user trying to install the file does not have enough privileges to install the file in the system.

This not an answer to my question: I wil update my Windos 7 to Wondows 10 . I am using Nero 9 Smart Start without problems on Windows 7. Will it be compatible with Windows 10 ?
It is likely that the file is corrupted, so you have problems, just like the other users above.
