The Wireless Lan Card needs to support the 802.11AC protocol to be able to connect to the 5GHz networks. That's the main reason why you can't see the network to connect to. The 802.11n Wireless LAN Card will only detect 2.4 GHz networks (regardless of their configuration - channel, protocol, encryption, bandwidth and more).
Try looking on the Amazon website for a card that has dual-frequency support.
