Is a 64bit Mac OS version of this software being developed?

The latest version of MacOS 10.13.4 is warning me that the 32 bit version of Epson Scan will cease to be compatible at some point in the near future. Is a 64 bit version being developed? There is nothing wrong with the scanner or the software at present.

You should visit the product page at the Epson Support website. Access the following link and enter the product model of your device. After you find the device, choose the operating system and then expand the categories to download (EPSON SCAN)the driver and utilities.

Make sure to select the proper version of the OSX because, as you can see, versions are not compatible one with each other.
