Why isn't EZ Gig not detecting my external drive?

I had to purchase a new laptop going from a Lenovo to an almost identical Lenovo. Best Buy sold me your cable to transfer from old hard drive to new laptop, however your software is saying it can't find a drive. It is visible in Windows Explorer however and I can click and see data, so curious why your wizard isn't finding it.

The one thing I could possibly think why the hard drive isn't detected is because of compatibility or lack of support for that particular drive.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find another version of EZ Gig updated for newer versions of Windows, which this could be a problem as well.

Try running it in compatibility mode. Right click the main icon and then choose Properties > Compatibility. From the drop down list, select Windows XP or even 7.
