Why am I receiving an error when installing?

I believe there are issues related to compatibility when it comes to installing on various operating systems or you don't have the correct hardware device installed before attempting to install this one.

This is extracted from the official website:

Microsoft® Windows 10 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 8.1 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 8 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows Vista® 32-bit or 64-bit with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Intel® Pentium® 4, AMD Athlon™ 64 or equivalent processor, 1.6 GHz or faster
Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium audio devices listed above

As you can see, there is a line saying that you need to have the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium to be able to install the DTS Connect Pack.

Once the requirements have been met, you can proceed installing the software and it should detect everything.
