My suggestion is to try to play the song (if that's possible) in another player because the software might function correct and the problem could be the song you are using.
Additionally, check the built-in settings of the Emcee Pro application. There could be the possibility that your song to be unsupported.
Try to also use the How Do I section in the main software to see how to work with it.
Finally, contact the developers and explain this situation especially if you purchase the application.
