No, the software won't work with Chrome because there are no system requirements available anywhere. I've searched the web and all the available websites and nothing.
However I suggest checking the Chrome's extensions because there are other products way more powerful than Web-Recherche and search engines that are optimized for the standards used nowadays.
To get to the Chrome Extensions, press the three-dot-menu > Tools > Extensions > (scroll down) > Chrome Extensions.
