PortVision DX detects Comtrol Ethernet-attached devices, eliminating the complicated patchwork of separate drivers, web interfaces and proprietary software typically needed to deploy a network of industrial communication devices.
As you can see, the application is used to configure various network settings and manage devices and their firmware. In no way it's used for what you've specified in the question above. If the software serves no purpose to you, simply ignore it or uninstall it from your PC like you would normally do with an application.
