Your software might have new requirements, that's why it won't detect the webcam or when you upgraded it automatically uninstalled the drivers for the webcam.
I suggest accessing the Device Manager (Windows + R > devmgmt.msc) to see if the webcam is listed with a yellow exclamation mark. In case the item is there, right click it and choose Update Driver, then select Windows Update.
This is the way to have Micro-Capture working with the webcam.
