Yes, you can add images while the Easy Photo Slide Show is loading, however, after you press the Open folder and the window opens, tick the Folder monitoring option. This will watch the folder with the images source for any changes. Once you add images to that folder, the software will show them if it's currently playing as there is no need to pause and restart it again.
