Does the new software ever open?

I downloaded 2.006, it never opens after installing to use it or register it.

Yes, the Max Recorder application does open correctly. I've downloaded that version as well and installed it on Windows 10 X64 and it simply works. I could record the music that was playing in the background through Spotify.

Maybe you need to enable StereoMix in the Recording screens before you actually start the application.
