Windows 10's User Account Control is blocking the installation of the plug-in. How can I proceed?

Before we begin, I should tell you that the error you see is caused by the fact that the application's certificate is expired, which could represent a security risk for your PC. However, I've scanned the file with VirusTotal and it seems to be clean.

In order to avoid this annoying roadblock, first, copy the installer that you downloaded directly on drive C. (Don't put it in any folder.) Now, click the Start button, type "cmd" (without quotes) and the Command Prompt option should appear in the Best Match category. Right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.

In the command prompt interface, type

  • CD\ and press Enter - to get to main drive folder;
  • wmplinein and press Enter - to launch the installer.

This will circumvent the UAC protection and install the application.

Thank you.  That worked perfectly and I've noted it in case I get similar problems with other software in the future.
