This trick works in most games, but I believe that you can use it for apps as well. While the Full Screen mode is in effect, press ALT + Enter. The Alt + Enter combination is known to be used to switch between a full screen mode to a window mode.
Secondly, access the built-in menu for Digital Microscope Suite and go to View menu then untick the fullscreen option if it's there. In some cases you can simply press the Escape key on your keyboard to exist the full screen mode.
