Is it possible to receive the NMEA AIS signal from a TCP/IP source into the SeaClaear II software?

It's not specified exactly if the TCP/IP is available for connection. Based on the answers posted on a certain forum, you can use UDP successfully, but there are some TCP/IP problems that users encountered as well and although they want to use this protocol, none of the ones who discussed there had any luck doing so.

I recommend reading what they said, because who knows, you might be lucky to get the fix to use the TCP/IP protocol.

I think Robert misunderstood what i wanted. I have a wireless AIS receiver that I can connect to my computer. Some chart programs have the possibility to use a TCP/IP port instead of a COM port. I wondered if SeaClear II supports that.

A solution would be to use a virtual COM port receiving its input from the TCP/IP port, but I would preferably avoid that.

SeaClear II supports only COM connection. However, you can have a USB to COM adapter and use them as you please. These can be found on Amazon, Ebay or your local IT store.
