You can install Skype on your tablet using the Google Play market which is accessible from your application's menu. Make sure you attach a Google/Gmail account to the tablet before using Google Play. After you do this, you can use the same application and search for Skype. Click install and that's it. The application will install on your tablet.

A WiFi Internet connection is needed for this operation.

Don't know what happened, but I downloaded AmazonApps (Amazon.com). You will need an Amazon account for this. From AmazonApps, I downloaded Skype at no cost. Extremely easy doing it this way. I spent the weekend trying to find how to download other ways. My bloodpressure rose, I was ready to take the tablet back to the store. For some reason, this worked.
