In the FAQ I read that the EXIF data of the first image can be put in the fused image. But I do not find the option to start this option. How can I do that?

I've searched for what you asked, but there is little information about it, therefore the best place to get help about its usage is still through the Help section already available within the program. I've downloaded CombineZP from the download page here on Software Informer (possibly the only place available to download this little piece of program).

I've checked the Help section and there is a Getting Started section that provides all the necessary information related to usage.

If you need another copy, download it from here: http://combinezp.software.informer.com/download/

the EXIF data can be copied into the saved file by setting the option "copy header info into saved files" under options under file. But this works only for jpg files and not for tifs as far as I notice. I use the Batchmode often, but this gives very small output jpg files. already some time ago Alan offered me the possibility to obtain the sourcecode of the Batchmode program. Unfortunately I did not make use of this opportunity, but now I would like to obtain it. So I can try to update the program. Can you help me with this??
