I have SONY VHS tapes where I have overwritten data. I want to know if this software can recover the overwritten video data from my VHS tape?
Unfortunately, if data were overwritten, no software could restore your original data.
VHS tapes are not like modern storage devices. They were not developed to hold the information like SD cards and flash drives do. Therefore, once you write the data on the VHS tape, there won't be any way to recover it, regardless of the application you use or not. Things would have worked differently if it were an SD card or a USB flash drive. Photo Recovery Genius can't be used for this procedure.
