I have to reinstall Nero Platinum.

Need to reload 2017 Platinum; first download did not load properly was told to delete and reload.

Nero created a tool (Nero FirstAidKit) which might solve the installation problems that you have reported.
This tool will delete all registry entries of your Nero installation(s) and will allow a clean reinstall of Nero.
Please note that the Nero FirstAidKit deletes Nero related registry entries only -> all Nero folders and files still remain on your system.(but Nero applications cannot be used anymore) These remaining Nero folder and files will be overwritten automatically once you have completed a new installation of Nero.

Download the Nero FirstAidKit from

ftp://ftp6.nero.com/tools/NeroFirstAidKit.zip

to your harddrive.

Unzip the ZIP-file with WinZip or WinRAR and save the content to your hard drive.
Double-click on the unzipped EXE-file to start the Nero FirstAidKit.
-> The window "Nero FirstAidKit (for test only)" will open.

Confirm the message to remove the Nero entries with YES.
-> A status window will open.
The execution of the tool may take several minutes.

Please wait until the progress has been completed.
-> The message "Finished cleaning up" is displayed.

Close the window by clicking the "finish" button.
-> Nero FirstAidKit has removed all Nero entries from your registry.

To reinstall Nero 2017 Platinum, proceed as follows:

1. Download the Nero 2017 Platinum installation file:

2. Close all programs on your computer and exit any anti-virus software that might be running.
3. Start the installation by double-clicking on the setup file. Follow the prompt to install any required files.
   (Process might require a reboot of your PC after required files are installed. After rebooting, the installation will resume automatically.) 4. You will be asked for your serial number during the installation. If a default serial number is displayed, please replace it with your personal serial number. Click “Next”.
4. Read the End User License Agreement, and then click, “I accept the License Agreement”. (If you decline the End User License Agreement, the installation will not continue). Click “Next”.
5. Make your settings selection. If you want to change your installation settings, click the Installation Settings button.
6. Click “Install” to complete the installation.
7. Download the Nero content installation file (Video Effects, Themes and Disc Menus) to install additional content:

8. Start the installation by double-clicking on the setup file. Follow the prompt to install any required files. (The process might require a reboot of your PC after required files are installed. After rebooting, the installation will resume automatically.)

You can download the trial version of Nero Platinum via their website (posted below). Click the link, and you'll see the Premium section on the website. Input your email address or use a temporary one if you don't like advertising and such.
