I got as far as being connected to the Internet and having an IP address, but when I enter a web address to complete the installation, I get a message to check my connection and try again, or that the server is unavailable at this time and try again later.

I'm hitting my head against a brick wall at this point.

You have to connect to the router's administration area to check the connection status because it's not enough to just connect to the WiFi network. If the router is UP, you can do that with any device that supports WiFi connections.

While connected to the router, type the address of its administration interface (in most of the cases it's http://192.168.0.1/ ). You can find the status of the network connections in the Status area.

Press Connect and wait for router to connect. If it doesn't do that, then contact your ISP.
