asked by about MyGPSFiles

I am using MyGPSfiles to replace Snowranger, which has been deactivated. As an ardent skier, I want to keep track of my vertical descent. In the Tracks pane of this program there are two columns, one E+ and the other E-. Are these some possible deviations due to the data?

Those values actually represent the elevation on your track based on the 0 level of sea. The sea represents the measuring point as 0 elevation, therefore:

  • E+: elevation in meters above the sea level.
  • E-: elevation in meters below the sea level.

There is no other explanation on the official website and based on data provided.
