I really want to capture some of my Spotify playlists and convert them to MP3 format so I can listen to them on my old MP3 player. I've already tried some freeware but the result was so bad, it didn't work properly. Does someone have a better and legal alternative I could try? Thank you!

There is no legal way to obtain the MP3s from Spotify since the protocols are encrypted. There were a few attempts and there is a script that works, but you need Linux and a lot of knowledge to make it work. The best way is to use the track's name and then YouTube with a video downloader.

For starters, you can use the following service:

There exist legal ways with some 3rd party softwares. You can try tunebite premium for this purpose, it's a pretty useful software for audio streaming. It records and converts everything you want, also of course to mp3. And the quality doesn't suffer from this process. Additionally you can record with double speed which makes it even better :) But keep in mind that this is only legal as long as you keep it to yourself and don't publish it to someone else. But read for yourself more about it here:
