What is this program used for?

I don't remember when, where, or why I downloaded this, but I'd like to know what this is before I install it and check it out. I'm a technician, and I'm always open to new software that could benefit someone or make my life easier. Thanks for taking the time to read my strange question.

This package is used by developers that work with Java. The MidpX is actually a compiler and helps developers create mobile apps using the Java ME technology. The package contains everything you need to developer, manage, and test the application you have created. The software allows you to work with JAD and JAR files.
