The PhotoImpression application doesn't appear to be supported or released anymore. Their website doesn't have it and on other websites, it's barely noticeable in forms of text and mentions.
This was an application that arrived with some of the supported devices, but nowadays it appears it has been discontinued. If you don't have a scanner compatible with the application, meaning that the scanner should have the CD for the PhotoImpression software, then it's not possible to use it and something else has to be found instead.

It's a demo/shareware version, but at least you can check the compatibility.
