What can I do with an old filex file?

I have a FILEX database my father built with an old DOS computer where he kept the records of a couple of decades of genealogy research. I'd like to share the database with others around the world but asking them to run a DOSBOX is a bit out of their league.

What can I do?

The only solution is indeed DOSBox, but I know that you can install DOSBox on a PC and then set up a shortcut with the app and the database to load it directly.
